The Southern Grampians

Aquila calls Dunkeld home, situated at the Southern tip of the glorious Grampians and the Great Dividing Range.

The heritage-listed Grampians National Park is part of the Gariwerd Aboriginal cultural landscape. With its grand sandstone mountain ranges, stunning wildlife and abundance of wildflowers, this bushland sanctuary is the perfect place to gain perspective while taking in breathtaking views.

Hugged by the base of Mt Abrupt (Mud-Dadjug) and Mt Sturgeon (Wurgarri), Dunkeld’s quaint township provides a home base for a thriving farming district, as Victoria’s first area of pastoral settlement. With its rich history, tales of times gone by can still be heard on the main street, at the iconic bakery or down at the old railway station.

Idyllic and charming, yet breathtakingly grand.
