The ultimate blend of sustainable living and luxury accomodation
This is a subtitle for y our new post
Aquila Eco Lodges, located in the heart of the Southern Grampians, is redefining luxury accommodation by offering an unforgettable experience that seamlessly blends sustainability with modern comfort.
With new owners Halo Spaces Property Group at the helm, Aquila Eco Lodges have undergone a design upgrade that blurs the boundaries between indoors and outdoors, bringing the beauty of nature inside each of its luxury treehouses.
The eco-retreat is accredited by Eco Tourism Australia and is covered by The Trust for Nature covenant, guaranteeing guests a stay that prioritises sustainability and environmentally friendly practices.
Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Halo Spaces Caitlin Keage said the aim of Aquila Eco Lodges is to provide guests with an unparalleled experience that immerses them in the natural beauty of The Grampians National Park.
“Our desire is to provide a guest experience that allows them to reconnect with nature, themselves, and the environment, while minimising the impact to the land that the Aquila treehouses are on. Only a 5-hour drive from Adelaide, 3 hours from Melbourne and a short drive from The Great Ocean Road, Aquila is already welcoming guests," said Caitlin Keage.
“Each treehouse offers breathtaking views of the surrounding 100-acre bushland, and guests can enjoy the luxury amenities, without sacrificing their commitment to sustainability and connection with the environment.”
The treehouses are equipped with award-winning features, including floor-to-ceiling windows that provide unobstructed views of the national park, locally sourced red gum flooring, and spacious open-plan living areas with wood fireplaces.
Aquila Eco Lodges is off-the-grid, powered by solar energy, pure rainwater, and a composting system, reducing the environmental footprint of each guest.
Under the watchful height of the towering peaks of Mt Abrupt and Mt Sturgeon, guests can take advantage of exploring the nearby township of Dunkeld. The town offers award-winning restaurants, wineries, hiking trails, mountain ranges, and historic indigenous sites, providing the perfect opportunity to slow down, walk, dine, climb, and discover.
In addition to being eco-friendly, Aquila supports the local community. Aquila employs locally and engages with local suppliers from the Grampians region to build breakfast hampers filled with goodies from surrounding small businesses.
“We celebrate our revegetation program by planting indigenous plants and have identified, catalogued, and protected the Grampians National Parks’ unique and endangered orchids that can be found at Aquila,” added Caitlin Keage.
